Who we are

Strategem Group Limited is an insurance strategy consultancy, registered in England & Wales under company number 15921406. Our registered office is 167-169 Great Portland Street, 5th Floor, London, W1W 5PF.

We are the data controller for the personal information described in this notice, and we are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) under reference ZB906610.

This website

This website does not use cookies or contact forms. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits. It does not use cookies or identify you, and only gives us anonymous totals such as page views and the country a visit came from. Like all websites, our hosting provider may keep standard server logs, such as IP addresses and the pages requested, for security and to keep the site running.

What information we collect

We collect personal information when you contact us or work with us, for example by email, phone or LinkedIn. This may include:

your name, job title and the organisation you work for
your contact details, such as email address and phone number
the content of your messages and any notes of our conversations
if you or your organisation become a client, the information needed to deliver our work, agree contracts and send invoices

We don’t ask for special category information, such as health details, and we ask that you don’t send it to us.

How and why we use it

To reply to your enquiry and discuss possible work, because we have a legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us.
To deliver our services and manage our agreement with you, because it is necessary for a contract or to take steps before entering one.
To keep business and accounting records, because we have a legal obligation to do so.
To stay in touch about relevant work, where we already have a business relationship with you, because we have a legitimate interest in doing so. You can ask us to stop at any time.

We don’t sell your information, and we don’t use it for automated decision-making.

Who we share it with

We only share your information where we need to, with:

our accountant and other professional advisers
the providers of our email, IT and banking services
HMRC or other authorities, where the law requires it

Some of our service providers may store information outside the UK. Where they do, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place, as required by UK data protection law.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that don’t lead to work: up to 2 years after our last contact.
Client, contract and financial records: 6 years from the end of the financial year they relate to, as required for tax and company records.

Your rights

You have the right to ask us for a copy of your information, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to ask for it to be transferred to someone else. Some of these rights only apply in certain circumstances. To make a request, contact us using the details above. We will reply within one month.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please contact us first so we can try to put things right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.
